This year has been fun and kind of crazy for us. Evan turned one on January 17th and we had a fun party with most of our family there. We surprised everyone with news that we were going to have another baby! Everyone was so excited but Evan had no clue what was happening. Evan has been learning so much since then, it is fun to see how much he has grown. He talks so much now and he has fun learning shapes, numbers, and letters. He loves to sing with us and he likes to do sign language so we taught him the primary song, Love One Another. Now he insists on singing it every night before bed. He likes to say Mommy, Daddy and Kiah but he doesn't know his own name yet. He actually thinks his name is You! He is so silly. Evan is now sleeping in a toddler bed and we are hoping to potty train him right after Christmas. He is such a big boy now.
Dallas Graduated from Utah State with a Bachelor's degree in Statistics at the beginning of May. A few weeks before Dallas received an acceptance letter to Purdue University in West Lafayette Indiana. We spent the summer getting ready for our baby and the for the big move. Makiah was born on July 16, she was 7 1/2 lbs and 19 inches. Jessica had to have a second C-section, but everything went well and the recovery was quick. Only a month later we all headed out to Indiana.
Dallas has been enjoying school and working as a TA for the University. He loves teaching and he is excited to start a new job as a consultant next semester. On his spare time (if he gets any) he likes to play the piano, study languages, and study gospel literature.
Makiah has been getting so big and she is learning so many things. She loves to be on her belly and she is starting to scoot around a lot. She loves to have people around to play with and laugh with. She is a tough little girl. She has to protect herself from Evan (Who loves to play with her).
Jessica is realizing how much work being a mom is, but she loves it. She enjoyed spending a week with her family in August before she flew out to be with Dallas in Indiana. She really misses everyone back home, but has found to love Indiana too.
